I started my summer internship today, and after a full day of riding in the rain I am really excited to not have a car for a while. Especially now that I have my new, to me, ’78 CB750K that I have gotten used to riding. I have ridden in the rain before, but never like today. Not that it was raining particularly hard today, but I was just raining all day. I woke up and it was already raining, and it is still raining tonight.
I finally got some rain gear to ride in last weak! I got the Joe Rocket RS-2 Two Piece Rainsuit (http://www.joerocket.com/catalog/index.cfm/235/439/Suits/RS-2_Rain_Suit). From what I can tell it seams like a great rain suit… for the price. It definitely kept me dry, but it isn’t the best quality. Today was the first time I used the suit, and as I was putting the suit back on over my dress cloths after work the zipper on the jacket started coming unstitched form the jacket itself. I’m not too worried about it because it has about a mile of Velcro over the zipper so it will stay together. Also the zippers on the legs to let you get your boots on and off, or in and out, are slightly annoying to use. Like I said though, great for the price, 65 bucks to keep you dry isn’t too bad.
